Assassin’s
Creed Anthology
Ubisoft
will be releasing the Assassin’s Creed
Anthology, a collection of all the Assassin’s
Creed console games. It contains:
Assassin’s Creed
1 (no DLC was released for the game)
Assassin’s Creed
2 plus both
the Battle of Forli DLC and Bonfire of the Vanities DLC.
This is all of AC2’s DLC.
Assassin’s
Creed Brotherhood - The Da Vinci Edition,
which includes The Da Vinci Disappearance
single player add-on as well as all the multiplayer updates such as bonus maps
and characters. It does not contain the PS3 exclusive single player DLC, Copernicus
Conspiracy.
Assassin’s
Creed Revelations – The Ottoman Edition,
which includes both the character & map pack that was released and The Lost Archive single player add-on that
also contains a few bonuses such as extra outfits and the secret location Vlad the Impaler's Prison. This is all of Revelation’s DLC.
Assassin’s
Creed 3
and its Season Pass, which entitles you to all of the games DLC once it is released.
Also
contains 5 lithographs, a steelbook and a collector’s box.
Basically you get everything Ubisoft has put out for Assassin’s Creed on consoles except for one small console specific add-on (that will not be included even if you buy it for the PS3). All of this can be yours for either the PS3 or Xbox 360 (no sign of a PC version yet) starting on Nov 29 if you live in Europe and Nov 30 if you live in the UK for €150/£120 respectively. There are apparently no plans at the moment to release this bundle in NA.
Dragonborn
Bethesda
has announced Dragonborn, the third
piece of DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
In it you will face off against the first ever Dragonborn (humanoid with the soul of a dragon, same as you in the
game) as he, like the dragons, has now returned. There will also be a bunch of new enemy
types, items and quests to keep you busy.
If you have somehow managed to go through all of the content in Skyrim and its other add-ons and are
eagerly awaiting more, Dragonborn will
be released on December 4th for 1600MSP/$20. To see the trailer

DMC news
Capcom
has announced that DMC will have 4
new difficulty modes to add some more replay value and spice up the game. The game will still have its standard modes
of Human (easy), Devil Hunter (normal) and Nephilim
(hard), but now they have bonuses ones that do more than simply increase the
damage taken and dealt by enemies.
Son of
Sparda
- Remixed enemy layouts, tougher enemies and enemy behavior throughout.
Dante Must
Die - As above,
but contains the strongest enemies and insane attack waves.
Heaven or
Hell - Another
remixed mode, but everyone and everything, including Dante, dies after one hit.
Hell and
Hell - The same
as above, but only Dante dies after
one hit.
In addition to the new modes Capcom announced DMC’s first piece of DLC, Vergil’s Downfall. In it players will be able to take control of Dante’s brother Vergil and play though a new campaign. Capcom has noted that this is not another piece of disk-locked DLC that they have become somewhat infamous for, which to me is a great sign of progress since months ago they said that they would review their DLC police due to complaints and try to come up with a better solution. It is nice to see them follow through on their word and also nice to see companies move away from on-disk DLC, which I see as a scam. The DLC will cost 720MSP/$9 unless you pre-order the game from GameStop/EB Games, in which case you will get a free download code for Vergil’s Downfall pending its release plus the Samurai Weapons Pack. DMC comes out on January 15th; the trailer for Vergil’s Downfall is linked below.
Borderlands
2 DLC
Gearbox
is not letting up in their support of Borderlands
2 as they have yet another add-on coming out today. They have already released an addition
character, the Mechromancer, and one
campaign add-on, Pirate’s Booty, and
now while only two months out of the game’s release they already have there
next one available titled, Mr. Torgue’s
Campaign of Carnage. This add-on is
similar to Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot
from the first game in that there are tournaments where you will be battling
through wave after wave of enemies. That
being said Gearbox is adding a little
more to it this time, giving it an overall story arch and side missions to do
outside of the tournament. They say that
the Horde like arena is only 50% of
what you get in this package. It is also
supposed to be the most over-the-top badass Borderlands
2 experience yet, which if you know anything about that game is quite the
hefty statement to live up to. It is
really impressive that Gearbox can
keep rolling these DLC packs out so
quickly and I’m very interested to see how many more will be released in the
coming months. Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage will cost 800MSP/$10.
The Wii U
Nintendo’s
latest console was released this past Sunday in North America and along with it
came a bunch of new releases as well as a few ports. I don’t really know what to say about it
here, since I am planning on releasing a separate article later this week. It is definitely news worthy though, so here
it is. If you don’t live in North
America the other release dates are Nov 30 for Europe and Dec 8 for Japan.
I don't do blog updates in my Twitter account any more, but you can still follow me there: @Aeonofdoom360. Also feel free to post comments.
